Like I stated in my previous post, I’m being more consistent with my supplements and I wanted to share what I am currently taking. Please note, some of these are for a specific health issue I have so please don’t assume you need to take all of any of these.Continue reading “Current supplements”
I made two different types of cookies this weekend for two different people. One friend is low carb/sugar and the other friend has nut allergies and wanted a sweet treat!Continue reading “almond flour vs white flour”
My current Summer/Fall makeup staples:
Purlisse BB Creme in Light – This foundation has the perfect amount of coverage for a natural finish while evening out skin tone. It’s been my go to foundation for over two years now and I purchase them two at a time. I love that it has SPF in it which makes it the perfect foundation for everyday wear. The light shade is the perfect neutral tone and doesn’t add any unnecessary extra warmth to my skin (that’s what bronzers are for). It applies great with either my favorite BB/CC cream brush from Japonesque or the Dose Of Colors beauty sponge.
Makeup Forever Ultra HD Concealer in 21. This lightweight concealer gives a very skin like finish. I don’t use a lot of product in either the day time or night time look. Three dots per under eye and a swipe on the lid is all I need. I use shade 21 which has a peach undertone. That means its perfect for neutralizing the blue tones on your under eye area. It’s best feature is that its self setting, so I don’t have to reapply it in the middle of the day.
CoverFX Perfect Setting Powder in Light. Self explanatory. I used to never powder my makeup because I didn’t think I needed it, but I would always wonder why my foundation was creasing. Setting powders play a big role in your makeup routine. It finishes off the look and locks everything in place. With this powder, I can set my makeup and not look cakey or too matte and flat afterwards. Added bonus, CoverFX in general is a very clean brand, so there’s no talc or mineral oils in this.
Persona Color Theory Eye Kit in Cooper – The perfect eyeshadow kit that was made specifically for Brown Eyes. I love how pigmented and blend-able the shadows are without causing any fallout. It comes with five complimentary colors: a warm highlight; a neutral base; a shimmery gold; a rusty red; and a dark brown shade. During the day I use the neutral and dark brown colors and at night I incorporate all five. The kit comes with a brush that I primarily use for the crease and under eye. The eyeliner it comes with is a super creamy dark brown pencil and is ultimately the best eyeliner I’ve ever owned. It’s waterline safe.. long wearing, and doesn’t cause raccoon eyes. It sets within a minute so you do have to work fast with it. I recommend doing one section at a time and smuding out as soon as you apply. The only negative thing I have with this is that I can’t get just buy the eyeliner (I’m almost out) because it’s only sold in the kit.
Lise Watier Perfect Eyebrow Pencil. This brand has the perfect neutral color in all their formulas. This pencil fills in my brows without looking overdone. Perfect for daily natural makeup.
The BrowGal Clear Brow Gel. The one product you think you don’t need but actually do. I’ve tried a few brow gels and this is the one I fell in love with. It offers an all day (hair) gel like hold without flaking.
